Legal Secretaries of Central Kentucky hosted a Mother’s Day event for the Arnett Pritchett Home on Saturday, May 12, 2007. The ladies who are residents of this assisted living facility enjoyed refreshments and learning some personal data about their friends from the LSCK group who has undertaken to provide them with a few outings, parties, gifts and personal items throughout the year. The residents who range in age up to 95 shared some of their stories from the past, as we assured them that “what happens at Arnett Pritchett, stays at Arnett Pritchett.”

Treats of home made goodies, soft drinks, and fruit were enjoyed by all, and each of the residents had an opportunity to take personal necessities from the “basket of goodies” that were furnished by members. It was hard for each of us to leave, but it was with a promise that we would see them soon. The Legals hoped that when they returned to their rooms, the live flower arrangements we prepared and had placed in their rooms in honor of Mother’s Day was a reminder of how special they were and how honored we were to have the opportunity to spend some time with them in honor of Mother’s Day. The ladies provided our members gifts of laughter, love and light hearted humor and it allowed us to leave that day with warm hearts and good feelings about our shared morning.
